This can happen, if a user has forgotten to connect or select a dongle.
Workaround / Resolution
If the browser can only connect to https://activation.zeiss.com when using a proxy then:
- Configure the proxy in your browser.
- Use the original config-file that was installed when installing the Zeiss License Activation Utility.
- Restart your Zeiss License Activation Utility.
- Run a online activation without a proxy.
If the browser can call all of the here URL:
and for those with the "?wsdl" ending an xml should be displayed like:
<wsdl:definitions xmlns:wsdl=" http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/ " targetNamespace="http://license.zeiss.org/ " xmlns:http="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/http/ " xmlns:soap12="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap12/ " xmlns:s="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema " xmlns:tns="http://license.zeiss.org/ " xmlns:mime="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/mime/ " xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/ " xmlns:tm="http://microsoft.com/wsdl/mime/textMatching/ " xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/ ">
<s:schema targetNamespace="http://license.zeiss.org/ " elementFormDefault="qualified">
If all seems to be correct, please take a look at the proxy settings of the Internet Explorer:
- start IE
- goto Extras
- goto network options
- goto connections
- goto LAN settings
If there is an automatic script or a proxy is entered, please use this configuration in the ZLAU as well. If the user do not have access to this data, he/she shall use the offline activation.
